NGC-1808 starburst galaxy

NGC1808 is starburst galaxy 40 Million light years away in the constellation Columba, it measures 6 x 4 arcmins and it is magnitude 10.8.
Would be a good object for longer focal lengths, my 200mm F5 is a bit short to get any decent detail.

We have here 61x5min subs, taken with a QHY12 OSC, processed in Startools, a bit noisy but I was shooting right over the top of Brisbane light pollution which didn't help.

Interesting little galaxy, nice grab from a LP location.

Very nice, interesting and different. A most unusual galaxy. Lots of fine streaky detail.

Perhaps the saturation is a teensy bit too high, but you've shown that the nucleus is of older stuff than the rest.

We looked up our ancient shot of this galaxy, and the image was entirely black, and the original subs have been lost, so you've inspired us to have another crack at it when it's rising earlier.

It rises at 18:35 AEST, is that too late
It is visible all night.
Great pic, I will have a go at observing it with the 16"
It's quite bright at 9.9 mag.

Thanks for all the comments guys, I have decided to stick with it and keep capturing more subs, so hopefully I may have 18+ hours to process and get rid of the noise. The plan is to get the outer halo brighter and noise free.

At the moment a good time to start capturing (from my place) is at 2200 (QLD time) and I can continue until 0300 before the scope hits the tripod.
