Bit too much post work for my liking, would be good just to see the six(?) frames they actually imaged.

This should be the standard warning for all comments on Youtube.

After all, the people developing the Stupid Filter were using Youtube comments to train it!

My thought exactly. Some of the scaling was a little obvious looking at the edge of the shock front. That's pretty sad that nowadays you have to question every photo or video as if it's too good to be true it usually is. I've become very skeptical when watching photos or videos on FB or anywhere online. The real legit stuff sometime gets lost in all the rubbish and that can be very confusing.

Right you are, they only took 8 images then morphed between them. I didn't realise that. Still pretty cool though IMHO.

Thanks for the link. The video is wonderful. Monocerotis makes for the most visually amazing images in astronomy.

I read an article about the light echoes within Monocerotis that was very intriguing.
