Thursday, September 15th, 2016 - Photobombed! (again)

I was lucky again this morning to have a plane fly in front of the Sun. The first time this happened was August 3rd at 10:15:49 AM. Today, September 15th, I captured the plane at 09:56:19 AM. The altitude of the Sun on 8/3 was 46 degrees 35 minutes; while the altitude this morning was 34 degrees 44 minutes. Same plane? I kind of doubt it. Was I lucky? You bet!

I have attached (1) a matrix of the photobomb sequence as the plane flew through my field of view; (2) a close-up of the unprocessed image frame number 133; and (3) the final processed image where the plane was "averaged" out of the data.

Hardware: Coronado SolarMax II 60, TeleVue 2.5x Powermate, Skyris 445M.
Software: FireCapture, RegiStax, Photoshop, XEmacs for producing matrix.

In the last image, it became a stealth bomber?

Nice capture.

Bob?,

I thought for a moment there the plane was flying upside down and then realised the telescope has inverted the image.

Nice capture.
