Proud dad
My eldest lad just won the 2016 International Conferences on Representations of Algebras (ICRA) Award. Very proud of him!
Cheers,
Rick.

Congrats to him and you 2 who brought him up Rick!

I'm sure he could if he wanted but applied maths is against the religion of algebraists

Wow – great news Rick, you must be a very proud dad.
It was interesting to read that in the world of Algebra you are still considered to be young at 35! I now feel significantly spritelier than I did some minutes before reading your post.
Cheers
Dennis

By the time you finish a PhD and actually do some significant work that's about where you end up. The age limit for the Fields Medal is 40. Glad it put some extra spring in your step, Dennis
Cheers,
Rick.

Don't really know what the hell that is but hey... it has the word Algebra in it
...so it sure sounds mighty impressive, hearty calculated congratulations

I consider Algebraic to be a more esoteric incarnation of Latin, and since I cannot speak neither of the two, I take my hat off to your son Rick

He knows Latin as well. I can only science so he didn't get the humanities chops from me
