The Lagoon, Omega and Swan Regions in Narrowband

I wasn’t sure whether these wide-field narrow band images were any good and worth posting. However, Yun Lee at CentralDS liked them enough to post them on the home page of his web site, so they must be OK.

CentralDS Cooled Astro Canon EOS 50D, Canon 100 mm f/2 lens at f/4 and f/5.6, Astronomik 12 nm H alpha and OIII filters, ISO 800 and ISO 1600, 10 minute sub-exposures.

Certainly shows that there is a lot of stuff out there. Was only yesterday that I was looking to see whether I could get a Nikon F mount for my QHY setup, going to have to contact Precise Parts to see whether they can make one small enough.

100mm certainly has some nice FOV

Interesting shots - I especially like the M16/M17 region one.
