Winter Wonder

Skies cleared up Sunday night here in Melbourne, so I took myself out 30km or so from the CBD and set up my Canon G12 compact digital on a tripod and pointed it to the zenith. The crescent moon was setting as I shot 12 x 15 second exposures at 6.1mm, f2.8, 1600 iso and stacked them in DSS, some colour enhancement in PS and this is the result. A fair bit of detail has been lost in this 200kb file.
