The Joys of Mathematics

Fields Medal winner Cedric Villani talks about his work - very entertaining and interesting. I bought his book "Birth of a Theorem" after watching this talk. I'm half way through it (exciting read).

Many thanks, Steve, for putting me on to this interesting lecturer. What an unusual figure at the rostrum! I moved on to another lecture,"Particles, Stars and Eternity," which makes for an interesting and expanding lecture on all the discoveries leading to our present astronomical and cosmology theories. Two images stay with me:The spider broach and how completely cluttered is the man's computer's desktop Regards,Eugene
