Mix Match Scopes & Reducer/Flatteners

Would Astro-Physics reducers, telecompressor/corrector work with other brand APO's like TEC if the focal lengths were compatible?

Thinking of getting the AP155TCC, which was designed for f/7-f/7.5 AP refractors. for use on a TEC 160FL which is a f/7 scope.

I had adapters made up and used the 155tcc on my TEC180.

It worked. As I recall stars in the very corners were a tad off. The TCC has to be spaced accurately to +/- 1mm. Perhaps I could have shimmed it to be exact.

Greg.
