A big thankyou to Bintel.

How good are Bintel?
I ordered a Sun filter for my 10" LX200 late on friday afternoon from Sydney, they phoned me to say that they didn't have one in stock, but did in Melbourne, and also to ask if I would be bringing home made sausages to IISAC 2007, well I will be.
They told me that it would arrive on Wednesday, Well guys, it got here 24 hours earlier than that.
Melbourne to Brisbane in less than 2 working days. WOW.
I am extremely pleased by thier customer service.
The only problem today is, that it is cloudy, and I can't test it !!!!
A BIG "Well done" to Bintel. You guy's are great.

Mike.

It did come by post, so yeah, a Big thanks to them as well.
I am just taken aback by the time factor from ordering to receiving.
It is outstanding.

Oh and Petra,
I was intrigued by your "OK, so what's the speed of dark ?"
Well logic dictates that it must be inversely proportionate to the speed of light, so if light travels at 300,000 KPS then dark must be in minus figures at the same rate, therefore we should never see darkness.
Wow, thats too deep for me. LOL

Mike

Another cheer for Bintel.

Bought some filters and stuff from them (first purchases from them) via the 'net (which I don't usually do - as I work in the IT industry!!), ordered Monday am and it was in my letterbox in Brissie at Tuesday lunchtime!! I'd allowed 10 days for delivery.

off topic Mike - but i'm sure i read somewhere that they did an experiment on reversing a beam of light down a tube and it actually came back out the end of the tube before it went out the front of the tube - which i guess says that the reverse of light is faster than light itself
wonder if that applies to the speed of DARK too ?

Light is the absence of darkness. Conversally darkness is the absence of light. You can remove darkness by shinning a light, and then suddenly turn off the light. The speed at which darkness proprogates through the room will indeed be the speed of light.
Darkness cannot move slower than light because where darkness hasn't moved to yet there would still be light. Light cannot move slower than darkenss for the same reason.
Light and darkness are both vectors (direction), so the velocity (also a vector) of darkness would have the same direction (vector) as light.

Oh and great work for Bintel and Aussie Post.
