We picked up a 60mm el plastico refractor for $20. It needs lots of TLC but the views of the moon are pretty reasonable. Once it is repaired it's going to a nephew. The big problem is that the diagonal is totally unusable with no chance of repair.
Does anyone have a 1" diagonal they could part with for no more than a few times the cost of the scope?
