My first attempt at imaging.

Hi all

here is my first attempt at imaging using a Nexstar 5SE & a Neximage 5

Software iCap 2.3 & Registax 6.1

Hope to give it a try with my SW 8" Dob later this week.

That looks awesome Graeme!

I have a Nexstar 5SE too and am looking into buying a Dslr camera. I have a webcam a friend kindly sent me and I need to master that too.
Still I think I'll buy a canon - just the price range yet to settle on! Love your image!

Thank Astrochick, I have a Sony NEX5T & a T adapter as well but thought I would be best to master the WebCam style imaging first.

That has turned out pretty good Graeme! MUCH better than my first dozen or so attempts at planetary imaging

Nikki, I would also recommend getting a Canon for Astro work. I have a Nikon for general purpose photography, Canons are just easier to mod are companies that make Canon specific clip on filters so that is another bonus.
