Berkeley 97 & LDN 1196

Hello altogether!

Berkeley 97 is a small open star cluster in constellation Cepheus. It forms a nice pair with the dark nebula LDN 1196. Several scientists wrote about Berkeley 97 and so its distance was measured quite accurate - about 7860 light years.

Picture was taken at my observatory at the Gahberg, Upper Austria, back in summer 2015, when the nights were warm and clear... ;-)

Quite nice Markus

Your setup is quite interesting too! 10" for lum and 5" for RGB, nice

Hello Ross, Geoff, Colin, Rick and Michael,

thank you very much!

I would not recommend that - a "fast" 8" (f/3) for RGB should work better. In my case, RGB signal is qiute low compared to L, so it needs a bit more of processing.

A very fast 8" F/3 would be awesome no matter what you had it doing
