barlow with bino

Has anyone screwed a GSO 2x 1.25 acromat barlow lens in the nosepiece end of a bino. I have an Andrews bino, similar to a William Optic unit. Be interested to know how it worked.

Yes that will work fine and will give you extra room to help with reaching focus (moves the focal point further out). It also has plenty of clear aperture (unlike some low-power correctors). You'll get somewhere in the range of 2.4-3.0x magnification because the light path in the bino is longer than when the lens is used in the barlow. If you want less magnification try a similar but longer barlow. I just ordered this one for the same purpose:
