Hi all.
On the evening of Tuesday November 28 2006, a grazing lunar occultation of the star ZC3325 will be observable (weather permitting) along a path running from west of Wilson's Promontory to the mid-north coast of NSW near Forster.
This path is unusual in that it is easily accessible to a large number of major population centres -- including Traralgon, Canberra, Goulburn, Wollongong, Campbelltown, western Sydney, Gosford, and Newcastle -- which means that a record number of observers could see this event.
We (Dave Herald, Dave Gault, Dave Wheeler and me) are currently organising three observing sites: Canberra, Picton, and western Sydney. Anyone who is interested in joining us is encouraged to send me an email.
But more importantly, we'd love to hear from observers from west Gippsland, the NSW central coast, and the Newcastle region, who might like to join in this event.
Further information can be found at

Hoping to hear from some of you.
Steve.
