IC2872_Gum39 First light with TSA120

This is my first published image with my recently acquired almost new Tak TSA120. I've captured LRGB and SII OIII Ha of this object and whilst I'm trying to work out how to glue it all together I decided to do a quick process on the Ha data. Seems ok so will be good to get some feedback. Have captured 7 hours of Ha for this image.

Link to Astrobin image here.

Comments and critique welcome.

Looks good Rodney. Perhaps (if you are using PixInsight) try some dynamic range compression with HDR

It looks quite nice, stars looks lovely across the whole frame
Not sure if it is the pixel resolution but it looks like it could use a little sharpening to help bring out the definition.

Oh, jealous. That's very good. Special.

Reckon that's the "baby chick" nebula, complete with sharp little beak and bulbous eyes.

Looking forward to the OIII and SII very much, but it's great already.

Thanks Geoff, Collin and MnT.
I did process this one in PI with the the only enhancement being to apply a little Local Histogram Equalisation to improve the contrast in the nebula.

Nice round stars in 20-minute subs, and the image looks very smooth.

Looking forward to seeing the colour version

Thanks Suavi, Rusty and Greg and yes - I do have a lot of processing ahead. I haven't quite worked out how to approach this one so I will be doing a lot of reading in the mean time.

Thanks Markus, I have just looked at your web site for the Gemini observatory. Looks like a fantastic set up and an excellent gallery of completed images.

Thanks Rick and Mike, I must admit to still failing to see the chickens. For what it is worth, attached is an image of our hen (called Sarah). Might use as a reference
