Neq6 pro head replacement

Hi I'm having an issue with mounting my 10" newtonian on my neq6, the dovetail bar sits off one side on the mount, like as I tighten the knobs the plate kicks up.
Is there an alternative head I could use? I had a look at using a wider dovetail bar but the tensioning bolts don't seem adequately long enough for that.

Zane,
On both my HEQ5 and NEQ6 I replaced the SW puck with an ADM CNC version.
Never looked back!
Highly recommended.

Fantastic bit of kit. No more bolt marks on the dovetail either.

That's perfect looks much better thanks, the bolts just pull the slider in towards the solid side clamping the scope in but the slop is terrible, not sure how it passes qc!

Make sure you order the correct puck fittings. There are two profile types for newer and older style EQ6 heads. Your NEQ6 SHOULD have the newer profile puck.
Good luck, I swear by my ADM dual saddle, handles my 10" tube with ease and is very secure and "level"

Depends how much you want to spend, but I put Losmandy D heads on my HEQ5pro and NEQ6 as well as buying a 2nd hand D to Vixen convertor (again ADM) for those occasions I want to throw on something with the smaller dovetail.

Ok will do I'll also have to get the wider dovetail plate to attatch to the rings, is the D style the same as a Losmandy style mounting plate?

Yes - D = Losmandy D
All the options here: http://www.admaccessories.com/Productgallery2.htm

This the Vixen D to V adaptor. Couldn't find the ADM link easily, so OPT instead:

Zane,
You can get a saddle which takes both the Vixen and Losmandy type dovetail...
See my initial link.
