For sale is a vintage (1980's) Meade 2080 model 8" SCT OTA -dark blue in colour. Optics very clean & clear, recently cleaned and collimated by Melb Bintel. The corrector plate came up as new, actually pristine. External paintwork is in fine nick too. No dents. A few slight marks on the matt black painted rear cell.
Includes:
- original matching blue 6x30 right angle finder scope (circle T). Eyepiece can be rotated and locked in position. Great condition, optics clean & clear.
- original matching blue metal dew shield (a few light marks only).
- narrow vixen style mounting dovetail bar which I added when I deforked the OTA. A few clamp marks on one side of the bar only from my heq5.
- 1.25inch 'Japan' labelled visual back and accompanying dust plug.
- original black metal OTA front dust cover, with a light mark across the front.
- original Model 2080 Schmidt-Cassegrain Instruction manual.
