My Astroshop Dealings

I find it interesting(and somewhat disturbing)that you should offer a PM with regard to your not so happy dealings with My Astoshop as saying nothing can somtimes be more damaging and just leaves people hanging with some sort of doubt especially to the newcommers that visit and look for information on Ice in Space .

I have never met Steve M but have dealt with him on many occassions by phone and by Email and have found him to be honest reliable and very approachable and alway has the time to give advise.

I would not like to see a reputable dealer like My Astro Shop or any other for that matter tarnished by a possible misunderstanding.
Sometimes there are failings and as Steve M is spending time talking to other customers and as stated on his Web Site products are tested and I can confirm that as I had several test images Emailed to me with regard to equipment purchases and many many other Emails offering advise

I just don't believe he would offer bad service outside his control and when it comes to the crunch we the Amateur need Astronomy Shops around and especially those that offer the old fashion service like My Astro Shop as in the busness world of today they are few and far between

Matt there have been plenty of people on these forums that only give praise to Steve M, have another think about your feeling you are in the minority

Dave I can understand you wanting to defend Steve if your experiences have been good, but a thread like this is just going to ignite into an argument about vendors which isn't really appropriate.

Matt is entitled to his opinion based on his dealings with any vendor. Whatever the circumstances were, Matt obviously has a reason to feel that way.

People are free to discuss vendors on here, both good and bad experiences, but there are guidelines in the TOS which state that you must not generalise..

When discussing a vendor, be careful about what you post as it can be easy for comments to be taken the wrong way and a vendor may take offence. In general, remember to be specific about your experience or opinion, don't generalise and don't play judge and jury. Think and re-read before pressing submit

So far noone has broken any rules, but I'm going to lock this thread because my experience tells me that this thread will get heated.

If you search the forums, you'll find there have been many good feedback posts about MyAstroShop so the weight of opinion is already in the positive, so any potential buyers who do their research should find what they're looking for.
