H0ughy’s article in the "New" Sky & Space
Hello,
Just picked up my copies of Sky & Space and Australian Sky & Telescope from the newsstand. I’ve only had time to read Sky & Space so far. In there, you will find an excellent write up of the 2006 Qld Astrofest by a well known Newcastle member of the astronomy glitterati, writing under the nom de plume of H0ughy.
Nice write up and photo’s Dave.
Another fascinating read, was the story of the Apollo 11 tapes from the CSIRO Parkes Observatory.
Cheers
Dennis

I think the article lacks credibility, it needs a goof running around in a scope coat featured in the article, thanks mate for the plug

yup, got my mail and there it is!!!
it is an excellent report.
now the thing I noticed the most is the get out of jail free card he played by mentioning "his lovely wife" first up in "About Houghy" section.
Top work my friend, nothing like an international expression of how lovely your wife is to secure a few major browny points!!!
This is worth at least 3 weeks good grace................before it quickly becomes the norm!

it probably is because we as husbands are constantly come from a position of no power and dealing with someone that is not afraid to bring up your minor stuff ups as leverage and evidence that men are incompetant..................
wish Mrs Houghy the best for her job.....

take every victory you can!!!!
1 wry smile = positive % chance of intimate relations < total eclipse occurring over your house, but still better than nothing!
1 frown = -1000000000000% chance of intimate relations

Well I need an observatory and she needs a resume - simple (not) to achieve. At least I mentioned her in the article (ending)
