Thumbs up Can't believe my eyes - forecast

I've just about forgotten which end of a telescope to look through.
Checked the old forecast and couldn't believe my eyes ... multiple clear nights - check, weekend - check, new moon - check, i guess im going to have to pull a few all nighters to try and learn how to use the system again
of course this is all out the window if someone decides to buy some new equipment ...

Weather has been terrible here in SE QLD. Have had overcast weather for what seems like weeks. Daily storms and rain almost since last Friday too. We needed the rain but we've had enough for now!

Yeah it's been pretty shocking weather for a while. If it is clear it means I can actually take my new observatory and pier for a test drive

yep it has been super dry down here too, we didn't get as wet as nsw but we still haven't had clear skies. Is that Gannicus in your profile?

I use http://clearoutside.com/forecast/50.7/-3.52 most of the time i have found it quite good. Give it a go and see what you think. You just need to put your postcode in and it should bring it up. sometimes it probably gives an "green" reading when the winds are a tad high (they are listed in mph).

Heading up to my dark site soon, was a hard decision trying to decide whether to go imaging or visual. After a day of debate I've decided to do both! Going to do some wide field as I peep around the skies

We've got clear skies forecast for at least the next three nights. I made the most of it last night and had such a wonderful time
It's been at least four months since I last took my gear outside, so it was exciting to find new things in the sky and the seeing was so great!
