Brown Praying Mantis

Cutting back some grass plants in the front garden bed when this pale guy came running out. Two other others were green, I think this one was living deep in the foliage away from the sun.

The first photo is a focus stack of 2 images (f10 1/60th sec ISO 640). I took more but the little guy was swaying, pretending to be a leaf in the breeze and moved to much to stack. Others are single shots (f10 1/40th sec ISO 250, f10 1/20th sec, ISO 250).

Canon 6D 24-105 f4 Sigma Art lens and Kenko extension tube.

Cheers,
Tim.

Hii Tim, the first image is a beauty. The way it appears to be looking at you. I think its saying - Yes, I am a preying mantis and I see you like taking pictures, how is this pose? Mark
