Looks great. It appears that the "planks " are joined halfway along the length of the boat, can you tell me how they are joined. Mark

Scarf joint 8 times as long as the thickness glued with fibrefilled epoxy resin.
Joint is stronger than the wood.
Sadly the plans didn't detail the layout well so the planks are all cut on the same side so the opposite ends of the planks are the opposite sides of the ply. Giving a harlequin effect. So it looks like the name of the boat is set !!!!!

Thanks for explaining the joining. You would only see the "harlequin" effect if varnished, perhaps you might finish it in a solid color. Mark

Pretty much finished.
Just the bilge runners to go on and paint out the inside with resin.
I'll put a handle on either end as well.

Can you tell me what you used for the "stitches". Did you remove the stitches and fill the plywood joins with epoxy/microballoon filler. I think I see fiberglass tape running over the inside and outside joins. A foam cushion on the seat might be nice. Looks excellent, Mark

I used copper wire for the stitches these were twisted on the outside and after glassing on the inside were snipped off outside and then the cracks were filled. Below waterline with fibrefilled epoxy and above waterline with polyester.
Then the outside was glass taped with polyester resin.
Any leftover resin was poured into the end where glassing inside is near impossible.

Very Impressive Jenni, bet you cant wait to see how fast it goes, looks like it would go really well - maybe some fishing gear holders etc ?
Possibilities are endless
