Angry NEQ6-PRO SYNSCAN H/C Problem

Last night was one enormous frustration. The Synscan controller seemed to not know where it was!! Despite checking and rechecking location, date and time the H/C kept slewing to objects with huge offset errors: slewing to Sirius required a massive correction to center it. However, other alignment stars where in close proximity to center!?!? Once i had completed my polar alignment, i decided to slew to Jupiter... Being off is an understatement: Jupiter was in the Eastern sky approximately 30 degrees of the horizon, but the scope slew to almost Zenith WTF!!!!

Since entering 2016, I have had no ends of problems with alignment using the Synscan..

What is going on??? Has the millennium bug hit the HC for 2016?!?

Or am i missing something here and need to reset something???

Anyone else had any issues similar to mine???

The polar alignment routine had/has bugs in some versions of the software.

hmmm not sure sorry David, I was having problems with v3.36 late last year (even though it worked perfect for a year) but seemed to be fixed at upgrading to v3.37, I haven't used it this year however. Might be worth re-installing the firmware if it happens again.
