Milky Way way up North

Not sure if all of you get any views of this area of the sky. If not a little view for you.
I sure wish i could see about a thousand different sites on the southern side of life.
Here is a couple images from the Cygnus region.

Hi Klaus, nice photos. The photos have interesting defraction spikes present in stars. I count eight spikes. Did you mask the objective to create these?

OH no? not NGC 7000 ....AGAIN!

Had ta laugh when I read your post Klaus.

The North American Nebula and the Cresent nebula are probably the most imaged objects in the northern skies by you northeners . Since most astroimaging sites are based in the Northern hemisphere, those of us who frequent imaging sites see images of NGC 7000 aaaaaall the time!

However....we will forgive you because we are Aussies and we love "all" images of the sky no matter how much...they resemble the North American Nebula

Nice work and thanks for posting

Mike

They are great images Klaus There is certainly a lot of nebulosity in Cygnus. Lamentably Deneb only rises 12 degrees or so above my horizon.

Nice pics Klaus..... I can see Cygnus from here, but it is very low, Deneb isn't far off the ground (or trees!).....

Thanks for the kind comments everyone.
The diffraction spikes are from the canon lens diaphram.
Makes the brighter stars look pretty cool though.
