AstroPhysics Mount Bug ..... 2016

Apparently a bug in the system is causing issues with AP mounts sending the scope the wrong way from Park1 position. Something to do with this year being a leap year.

Being discussed on CN at the moment. Owners have been getting email notifications from AstroPhysics.

Apparently confirmed by Roland Christen.......

Posted as a caution only, may just be GTO Mounts, I'll leave it to owners to follow up!

Thanks for the heads up. It probably won't affect me I hope as I simply use last position for parking rather than one of the presets.

The temporary fix is to reset the date to 1/1/15.

Greg.

Apparently, it's a 2016 bug rather than a leap year problem and it only affects the hand control (not a problem if you're exclusively controlling the mount from a computer). I only use Park 1 for daytime polar alignment so I don't think it will bother me either.

Cheers,
Rick.
