A fuzzy Jupiter in IR from Melbourne this morning

Well the ASI 174mm has been getting a work out, and this morning got a first light on Jove.

Even in IR, still a toughy! and I hesitated by adding too much of an extension past the 5 x Powermate to increase the image scale too much.

3 images attached in a GIF - not great, but a small sign of things to come in 2016.

Merry Xmas everyone!

Always worth the effort John and Jup will become easier as it rises higher, 2016 will provide a veritable smörgåsbord for planetary imagers.

Merry Christmas John and best wishes for 2016.

Regards
Trevor
