Thanks Peter, Bo, and Pat; and no Pat, it's not behaving itself. I spent
an hour and a quarter of being told to make nonsensical adjustments
when using Canopus and Fomalhaut, and then when I tried Sirius and
Achernar it did a flawless alignment in five iterations. I SO wish that I could leave it set up.

Hi Raymo,
You beat me to it by a few hours. (see my next post above.) Lovely image, I like the bright stars though perhaps a bit much - dunno??
Like you, I also wish I could leave everything set up. Should have started the hobby 50+ years ago.

Nice shot Raymo. The star diffraction spikes in the upper left hand corner have me puzzled, was there something hanging in the light path?

Thanks Glen. The double spikes seem to be only on the one star. The right hand spike seems to be bent at the top, so I have no idea what it could be. I have had double spikes in the past when there has been misalignment during stacking. There was nothing in the light path.
