Positive Experience

First of all let me start this post with a comment: Recently I've seen threads hijacked by those who want to air their bad experiences with vendors. I get that...given enough customers, some will be less satisfied than others. And I don't judge you for your views/experiences.

This thread isn't about that. If you want to air your bad experiences, please start your own thread and post there.

This post is to thank Michael Chaytor of Sydney Bintel who went out of his way to help me with an issue today that he didn't have to. I'm sure all the vendors have their own IIS avatars and view all the posts pertinent to their businesses.

Two thumbs up to you Mike. Thx

Positive Experience - Moonlite Focusers

I'd like to add a positive experience of my own.

I recently ordered a recessed T-thread adapter and a couple of other parts from Moonlite Focusers. The order arrived promptly but the wrong adapter was supplied.

After e-mailing Ron about the problem, he replied today with an apology telling me to keep the incorrectly supplied adapter and that the correct one would be sent to me immediately at no charge. A UPS shipping notification followed shortly thereafter.

Many thanks to Moonlite for continuing to provide fantastic service to the amateur astronomy community.

Good to hear your positive experience Les !
I have one ..... a couple of weeks ago I sent Barry Gooley of Kokusai Kohki an email order for a T-Rex mount custom painted in Tak Green. He sent a reply back the same day that he was out of stock of any T-Rex mounts and a batch was on the production line waiting to be painted, he got one mount taken off the line and sent to be custom painted..... So in two weeks from the assembly line to Canberra with full tracking and a few freebie accessories in the box as well.......

DON'T talk to me about Michael Chaytor

he doesn't reply to my emails
won't answer my phone calls
rarely uses face book
won't lend me money
won't come camping with me
won't invite me to go fishing with him
never sends me a birthday card
forgets all about Xmas cards
never buys Xmas presents
won't even send me a free sample of Bintel stuff
................................... ..................

Merry Xmas Nephew

One of the best guys to deal with in astronomy. Michael provides outstanding service and I always recommend people contact him for the purchase of astro goodies.

Michael has always been willing to answer my silly questions promptly and well. And if he is not sure e says so and goes to find out. Always reassuring.
I can also backup comments about Ron from Moonlite. I have bought a few things from them and the one time the wrong version was sent, he simply sent out the replacement and told me to keep the other as a spare.

Ron must do it for the love of it, as I dont know how he makes money with the exceptional service he provides. I have similar dealings with him "dont worry, I will send you another one"
