Venus, The Moon and Comet C/2013 US10 (Catalina)

This morning there was a conjunction with Venus, The Moon and Comet C/2013 US10 (Catalina). Unfortunately it was quite cloudy so we only saw brief glimpses through the cloud. Pics with an ED80 at F3.85 and 50mm lens at f2.8. At least the Sunrise was colourful. The comet is barely visible with the Moon in the frame.

Nice pics Kevin, good to see you back in the loop. Went out for a look this morning but too cloudy to see the comet. It needs to move a bit further north to clear the big paperbark in my backyard before I can get some pics. I am glad my neighbours don't get up early though, I would have looked like a wierdo standing in the street in just my pj shorts and a pair of binoculars.

Thanks all. I'm amazed I got anything with all the cloud.

I did the same with comet ISON , there I was on the street corner with my binos & scope in my dressing gown and fluffy slippers. Hubby while fast asleep is totally oblivious to my antics in the dark .

Hey Kev, they're great captures, thanks for sharing, I was really looking forward to seeing pics of the threesome .

I saw all the planets this morning,no moon though and no comet as it was quite cloudy and getting toward sunrise.
