HEQ5 Pro beeping

When I got the V.4 hand controller I was advised that the beep at the end of a slew function was deleted, and that seems to have been the case. Last time out the mount started giving a single beep during the early part of each slew, and then started giving random single beeps whilst the mount was tracking. When I looked at my 10 sec subs, they
all had the stars of my target [M45] as long streaks, longer streaks
than would have been the case if the tracking was turned off.
I'm baffled, anyone got any idea what's going on?

Sounds like a bad connection somewhere.
I've had similar - it was the db9 connector which is an rj45 on your kit.
