Gasteruptiid Wasp

Visiting the editor of the clubs newsletter the other day when I noticed a strange looking insect hovering near the wall. When it set down I was able to get a pretty good shot of it with the iPhone 5.

Amazing looking creature and a good catch.
Those multi-jointed rear legs are fascinating.
Thanks for sharing.

Interesting looking critter there Tony, seen similar but this specimen is rather unique in its appearance - looks like its wearing 'flared' cowboy legs
Havent seen that before now

Nicely executed shot by the way
