D800 Body - DAMAGED

My D800 took a swan dive onto a concrete floor.

The insurer wrote the camera off as uneconomical to repair. There was also evidence of liquid damage inside which has caused corrosion on the circuit boards - apparently the weather seals aren't a true O-Ring seal, so letting our cameras get covered in dew & frost might not be a fantastic idea. This would have caused eventual failure of the camera, so the impact damage has just accelerated its demise.

The camera still fires, but the sensor is obviously tilted vs the imaging plane.

Just putting it out there, before I throw it in the bin, does anyone want the corpse to experiment with??? I can still use the battery and charger, so it's just the body alone.

Yours for the cost of postage.

Wow - three takers already!

Didn't seem right just to throw it in the bin.
