SMC Nebula NGC346 in narrowband

Keeping on with the narrowband style I took this one a little while ago.

It may not look like narrowband but its Ha O111 S11 plus a small amount of LRGB for the stars.

It's a very delicate looking wispy neb. Nicely done, Greg. Good colours too.

Thanks Rick. I was pleasantly surprised at how much of the waves of gas the RHA picked up. I continue to be impressed with how sharp this scope is. Its more than a pretty face! Seeing isn't always that great looking to the south for me so again I was happy with the result. Tilt/tip which has been problematic at times with my Trius since I took off the tilt/tip adapter and put it back on later (its factory laser adjusted) but it seems to be pretty close on this one as well.

Greg.

Really only a couple of interesting bits in the SMC and this is one of them, nicely processed and what ever was going on in your cats paw is not present here.
lovely colour, nice work

Thanks Mike. Its a more natural image for sure. There was some remaining issue with tilt/tip on some of the Cats Paw subs that made life difficult but the basic data was still quite nice.

Greg.

Thanks David. Fairy floss does describe it. As Mike pointed out there are not many interesting nebs in the SMC and this is one of the few.

Thanks. I was surprised at how the colour worked out as it doesn't look like a narrowband image.

Thanks Paul. I am happy with how it turned out. The basic data was quite high quality and as usual that makes the processing a lot easier.

Greg.
