Scopetronix

Hey everyone I have just been informed by a distributor of Scopetronix in Sydney that they have outstanding orders with Scopetronix, paid several months ago and no goods and no responses to emails over that last couple of months. I was looking to buy one of their camera adapters.

I read about some problems with Scopetronix on sci.asto.amateur. Some quite heated e-mails I must say!

It seems that the owner/operator is having some personal problems that a small number of people know about, but no one can actually say on the net.

The owner is generally considered a good guy from what I have read, but I would not place any orders with Scopetronix until this sorts itself out.

Cheers

Dennis

I recently noticed that Televue products are no longer available through Scopetronix either...while changes in distribution are normal and it is not uncommon for representation of products to be somewhat "fluid"...it does sound like they are are going through a transition.

I have purchased from them in the past (when I was in the US) with no problem but that has been a few years ago...as for now I don't know...

Thats not good news, I originally bought one of his etx conversion kits, then meade brought out the etx AT. then I got a few adapters and stuff. was good service then (over 3 years ago was last purchase). I feel for those who ordered stuff and havent got it.
