Twin Crescents

Hello all,

Moon and Venus Occultation, 9/10/2015

Dusted off my telescope and tried to capture the crescent Moon passing in front of Venus. There was a bit of high level cloud about and as it happened low down near the horizon there was a lot of atmospheric haze to contend with. This is about the clearest shot I managed taken a couple of minutes before Venus disappeared. Cloud increased for the reappearance and I only got a quick visual glimpse of it.

Canon 5D MKII, 10" F/4 Newtonian Telescope (1000mm focal length) on an NEQ6 Pro Mount. ISO 400, Single 1/100th of a second exposure.
