I have for sale a 2.3M Sirius Dome observatory. The observatory is set up for remote operations but has been dormant since I moved all imaging equipment to iTelescope SSO.
The dome has two storage bays to hold computers, tools, etc. It comes complete with a fully fitted, computer controlled dome rotation and shutter kits (MaxDome II) with solar panels, solar chargers and rechargeable batteries. I have upgraded the dome rotation battery to a 35amp/hr gel and larger solar panel to allow for all night sky survey work. The dome has just had its yearly spring wash to keep the marine grade fibreglass in top condition. Inspections will not disappoint.
The dome is currently set up at my rural property in South Gippsland, Victoria. Approximately 30min drive from Leongatha, 2hrs from Melbourne. This is a pick-up only sale for two reasons. Shipping this bulky item isn't going to be cheap for the buyer and knowing how its disassembled will make it much easier for you to set it back up. I do have assembly instruction paperwork available. The purchaser will need either a removal van or a large trailer (a 6x4 is not large enough).
