LMC with Bert's lens in enhanced colour

Howdy
After "discovering" the useful Colour Stretch command in IRIS I applied it to a shot Id taken a few months back of the LMC with Bert's magnificent 300mm F2.8 flourite lens. Compare with original image. Original image used masking to preserve inner detail, I havent done that with the enhanced colour image.
Image was 3x6 mins ISO 400, uhcs and uv/ir filters

Love the intricate detail Scott. Great shots. I recently stuffed around with a 50mm lens targetting the LMC to get some wide field exposures. Not all that happy with the overall result. 20 minute unguided exposure using Fujifilm Provia 400F professional taken 01/10 @ 2:25 (4:25 UTC).

Jase,

Yours is a great pic. It really shows how LMC is a disintigrating Barred Spiral Galaxy

Yep and shows the red of the Tarantula well too, and ironically is in the exact same angle of view as mine
