Helix Nebula comparison in OIII and Ha.

The Helix is one of those objects where structures are distinctly different in OIII and Ha.

OIII(RGB) 10 hrs OIII 1 hr each RGB.
Ha(RGB) 6 hrs Ha 1 hr each RGB.

Clever way of showing the difference. The OIII panel shows the beautiful radial streaks that normally get lost in a combined Ha-OIII shot. Nice and sharp and deep, too.

Nice work Steven. There is a real marked difference between the two band passes and like Mike I like the demonstration of the differences.

I have been collecting data on this for about two months now and trying for the very first ejections the star pushed out. Very faint signal.

Unfortunately some OIII data ended up in the Ha image!
This has been removed and the difference is more obvious.

Nice work, Steven. I have tried to come up with an image that shows both Ha and Oiii well but it seems impossible. I'm disappointed that you don't have a magic solution

I was going to try SII imaging but ran out of good weather.
