A very vibrant narrow band Helix Nebula.

This is my first go at narrow band imaging.

It comprises of 4 hours 40 minutes of Hydrogen Alpha and 4 hours of Oxygen data. I put the Hydrogen Alpha data in the red channel and Oxygen in both green and blue channels. I then have no way of describing any logical processing technique from that moment on. I did process the images individually before I combined them.

I know it is way too vibrant but it is my first go at this type of imaging.

As always criticism and advice welcome.

Great Image Mark, plenty of detail and nicely processed.

That scope sure is a keeper

I bet you are loving the skies out there

Cheers Geoff

Very nice Mark. You've done a good job in getting the faint outer halo. Not too vibrant IMO
