Big one here [4.2MB - 3002x1980]
and HD version here: [2.3MB - 1920x1266]
After I discarded about 25% of the subs due to fog I had about 35x5min left. I reckon I need to review the subs I used in my M33 stack. Might be the issue with the lack of colors.
Well done Marc, great image. What time in the morning did you capture this one ?
Cheers
Rob
Thanks Rob. I think it came up above the trees around 1:00am. I shot it Sunday, Monday & Tuesday.

Thanks Andy . Your McBook one probably has better colours and contrast but I'm happy with the details.

Thanks Aidan. Yeah, it just fits in the FSQ field. Perfect scope to image it.

Thanks mate. No it was my normal processing flow in CCD Stack. Still working out some quirks with Bayer drizzle. I probably pushed the saturation too much to get the blues. That's hard to get them at that low altitude or you need a lot more integration time. I reckon the problem I've been having in PI were related to a batch of bad subs taken in the fog. It seems to really chuck a fit when there are dodgy subs in the pre processing script. Now I know I'll give it another go.
Absolutely stunning and a delight to explore. Magnificent.
Thanks a lot Mike. Glad you liked it. I think I'll do a final version to deal with the blue cast in the background and restore some of those star profiles as I was a bit heavy handed with saturation.
Round star with great star colour. Fine detail processing is excellent. I think you could tease out some more of the Ha regions though. And; maybe the back ground is a little blue. The detail and smoothness of the image is very nice in my opinion.
Marc how beautiful is that!
One of the best M31 I've seen from the Southern Hem.
I know how hard it is to image this from down here and you've done a great job.
One of my favourite objects and I'd love to image this again.
You've inspired me now, thank you.
