well at least they can say they played in a cliffhanger. BTW I thought the eagles outplayed Sydney most of the game, so maybe just desserts for consistent effort!

I only saw bits 'n pieces of the game plus the last five or ten minutes. To be honest, from what I saw - even though the Swans did well to overcome their early deficit - the Eagles seemed the better side.

Hats off to the Swans though, a great recovery and to lose by just one point is no disgrace.

I didn't think the final siren was ever going to go off. From when the 5 min warning went off, the game went on for near 10 mins
Going to Subi Oval this afternoon with daughter & grandson to welcome the boys back.

Even though I am definatley not a Eagles fan I would like to congratulate them on their win. The Swannies were valiant in their nail biting defeat and both teams ensured it was a fantastic grand final.

Unfortunately couldn't make it to the airport or Subi oval today because of a wedding but the team looked like they got a huge welcome back

......good news story with one of the players, Steven Armstrong , he was injured in the first Bali bombings and discarded from Melbourne {Demons} at the end of 05 and picked up by the Eagles, played in the local WAFL comp for the first half of the season and showed good form and reciprocated that with the Eagles and now has a premiership medallion ....how good is that
