M8 Lagoon Nebula from the Weekend

Hi All,

I thought I would post my photo that I took of the Lagoon Nebula on the weekend. The photo is around an hours exposure, composed of 2 minute subs at ISO 1250. I also took darks as well and then stacked and processed in DSS, Photoshop and Light room.

The following equipment was used.

Skywatcher ED120 Black Diamond Refractor
AZEQ6 Mount
Orion ST80 guidescope
Skywatcher Synguider
Canon 6D Camera

Overall I'm pretty happy with this photo, especially as it was only the second time I have auto guided.

Regards,

Tom

Good job Tom, stars not too far out of round for a newbie at auto guiding.
The only comment I can make is that the image seems to be a little lacking in contrast.

Thanks Raymo and Robert.

I had a play around with it tonight and think I increased the contrast a bit. I have attached again.

Regards,

Tom

The contrast is better, and if you quieten down the area around the bright star near the top of the neb, more detail will appear.
