Venus / Jupiter conjunction June 30 from Mackay

Wide shots were 4 seconds at F4 with a 50mm lens and the closeup with the ED100 F9. Nice of Jupiter's moons to be spaced evenly for the event.

Nice pics, I like the second one best. Hard to get the exposure right through the telescope, with venus being so much brighter than jupiter.

Thanks Rick. Yeah can't really get any detail through the scope without some tricks.

I tried my refractor the night before but found the resolution was better with the 10" reflector and they both fit in the frame at 1200mm fl. The weather looks like it's clearing too. (must be a full moon soon).
