Nice tight detail Marc. The luminance on the large globule is well shown. Cracking stuff.
Thank Paul. Yeah it turned out alright. The seeing was ok until 23:00 then it deteriorated very quickly. I makes a huge impact at that FL.

Thanks Mike. Yeah I use StarSpike pro from ProDigital Software. It is a Photoshop plugin with lots of settings. You can match the blurring of the stars in your pic so the spikes blend in nicely and don't look pasted. Also add secondary reflections, little halos, etc... all the stuff that makes a picture imperfect.
That's a credit to you Marc. Impossibly sharp. You've got the C11 purring. There's detail in some of those smallest Bok's that I've never noticed before.

Thanks Mike. It's about time the C11 gave me something back after all that tlc.
I've actually used your chook tri-color pic as a reference. I reckon you have all the bits and more if you look it up closely, and in color

Thanks Geoff. Yeah the seeing was quite good at the time I was on the chook. Made a big difference.
I have recently imaged this from our observatory at the Kalahari, and enjoyed every moment of it, if you like to take a look: http://www.pbase.com/boren/image/159942944

Again, a beautiful rendition.
Cheers,

Thanks Harel. I often check your website. Great colours. Monster scope under pristine skies.
