Eta Carina

I am sorry to be vauge here but I think this was thru the 80 x 400 ar. I have found some of my fotos on my Son's computer. Took this the dark Moon before last. The scope was on top of 150sn lxd but clouds were on the move so never got it polar aligned properly.. so this was a very short exposure to minimise the trails.

That's nice! A bit of post-processing on that could really darken the background and bring out some more detail.

Paul H or Paul R or Gary B might be able to suggest what they do in photoshop or similar to do this. I'll give it a go tomorrow too.

Hi Alex
nice work. OK, you have a few issues with trailing, but once you get that sorted you will be away.
The Eta shot could stand a little Levels in PhotoShop, so give that a go first.
Taking multiples as well, and stacking them will also greatly help. BUT doing this will up the frustration levels as well.
Welcome to the world of astrophotography.
Gary

Thank you for your interest Mike and Gary,
I have been without my very own computer so I have to download on various machines in various places. I have purchase a 9mm illuminated reticle, a camera adapter and stuff to help it happen better. For a while I wont be able to do more than post the unprocessed image so if anyone wants to play around with anything go for it.. I would like to see what someone of sckill can do to improve original images...and I am happy to hear hard critisism so I can improve on my work.

That's a great image you've got there Alex, especially under all that lightness. Hope you don't mind but I adjusted the levels a bit (maybe a bit much as its pretty dark now) What do you think

Hi Paul, Looks great to me. Sorry to be long in getting back I am back in the hills of home, got a great night in before the Moon came up last night. Set up to do some photos but got carried away just looking around the Large Magelan Cloud and Virgo Gallaxies with 12inch.it was fantastic because the sky was so clear.
