Milky Way widefield

Thought I'd try a tracked image with the Samyang 14mm.
This one was 4 minutes from SPSP. I think there must have been some cloud roll in causing the pointers to bloom like that. It's quite a pleasing effect actually.

Nice shot but lacks colour. I would work on the colour and also try to get some colour into the stars.

Greg.

Thanks Greg - appreciate the advice.

My early wide-field efforts always ended up way too purple but I may have gone too far in avoiding that. I'll try to re-process and maintain a bit more colour. Practice makes perfect and all that.

Repro

Tried a repro to add more colour as per Greg's suggestion.
I fear I might have overdone it a bit but it was a good exercise in any case.

Astrobin link for repro: http://www.astrobin.com/full/181561/B/

Superb shot, Peter. IMHO your colors were spot on in the original.

Thanks Marc and Colin.
Appreciate the feedback. Maybe I should try a blend of the two?
