Nice detail, but I won't disagree that the colours are a little "intense"!

Perhaps if you try adjusting the colours with the channel mixer? Assuming the D800 isn't modded, you could boost the red channel to compensate for the lack of Ha sensitivity - but I'm wondering if you have pushed the blue a bit too far giving the purple hue?

Ha seems to render out as purple/pinkish on my D800 (not modded). Adjusting the Red channel in LR does nothing at all.

I havent really pushed the blue sliders either. Ive only pushed the saturation and vibrance.

Ill throw it in PS when i get home.

Hi Edison, nice image but IMHO the colour is overcooked abit. I don't know how to get colours like that, maybe back off the saturation and vibrance abit. I recently imaged the same spot with my modded Canon. I have sent you a PM about that.

Sorry, didn't realise you were fiddling in LR, not PS.

Out of curiosity, did you have white balance on Auto? Try selecting daylight for your WB in LR.

Adjusting the WB seems to have done the trick. I normally set the WB to around 4500k but i think DSS might have reset it.

Thanks for the examples glen.

Ive attached a less colour vomit version.

That's a beauty Edison, well done

Personally I prefer the cooked version resembles the colours I get from the little Fuji cam and shows the extension very well for an unmodded camera. The stars in the repro look a little orangey to me.
