Raffle Prize from NEAF winner!

I was surprised to get a phone call this evening informing me that I was a winner of a raffle prize at NEAF.

I should receive an Explore Scientific AR102 refractor...

I have no idea what kind of quality it represents but am happy to add it to my collection. Lucky Me!

I have one. Its pretty good. If you have your own diagonal mirror and don't need to use the one that comes with it. Even better.

As achromats go, they are fairly well regarded. Worth circa $500 US too!

The OVERSIZED dewshield looks kinda funky, but apparently is effective enough.

Well done!

Thanks guys...I am excited about the win. I am certain that is is worth the $20 in tickets that I paid. I had hoped for the Delos Set but will, happily take this scope and try to put it to use.

Me too...imagine winning this refractor and a Lunt Solar scope...

Admittedly, I had to buy a lot of "tickets" for the Lunt

The raffle prize scope arrived this afternoon...we have clouds so no first light tonight but I did get it out of the box. It was nicely double boxed and seems to be in good shape. It is an attractive scope and came out of the box with rings and a diagonal. Should be fun to play around with...
