Thats simply awesome, amazing and astounding. I lost count of how many galaxies are in that image.
I wonder how many planets are out there with people in their backyards looking back at us.

cheers

Unbelievable. My head utterly refuses to understand the scale of things now.

...and didn't the narrator even sound like Sagan?

And those galaxies are just what our currently puny technology can see - what is in the vastness beyond those? mindblowing to say the least.... I mean, to even imagine how far it is to alpha-centauri is mind blowing enough.... sheesh.....

I wonder what they will be viewing in another 100 years from now.
Hopefully NASA will be planning a manned mission to Titan and there will be a 200" observatory permanently based on the Moon for starters.

cheers

Never mind the '100 years'. I reckon we'll be seeing amazing things in another 12 months!!!

NASA has already stated that it is a total waste of time putting a telescope on a Moon. They quote several reasons, one being dust, another the cost! They reckon it's cheaper to float them around in space.
