Hey guys, what's with the new retina searingly bright advertising banner overkill on the forum? Sure everyone's entirled to earn a dollar but this is a dreadful distraction imo, or is it just me?

Hmmm - seems it only appeared on my iphone this morning, no changes on the desktop, and now it's gone away from there too...

So Lewis, you don't have the ad ribbon down the right side? (Bintel is the top ad)

I forgot Iceinspace had banners. Ad-block also stops youtube ad's as well.

This is what I see. NO ads whatsoever. I can click the bar that says Advertisement if I WANT to see whatever the ad is, but I have no desire to.

Works on EVERY page, stops pop ups and pop unders, stops You tube intro ads etc.

ABP is 100% free too.

Ok Lewis, I have downloaded ad-block plus and it is enabled, but still I have all the banner ads on the side. Am I missing something in the setup??

Got it working now, had to stop and re-start IE now have a little icon in the status bar. Thanks for this one.

Thanks Lewis. ABP does a great job. Just what I want.

But IIS gives me great benefit and needs $$$ to stay online hence the ads.

I mainly hate animated and noisy ads. The ads on IIS are quite discreet. I use the Bintel ad like a bookmark. So I will have to think about it.

Normally when you start seeing different sets of adverts than normal it's best to run a virus scan and even adwcleaner.

All I see are the regular ads.
